EDEN VALLEY — A Watkins teenager was injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Forest Prairie Township, according to a news release from the Meeker County Sherriff's Office.

According to the release, Kobe Beattie, 19, was passing a vehicle on Meeker Stearns Street east of 632nd Avenue when he lost control and the vehicle left the roadway and hit a field approach, causing the vehicle to roll. He was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

He was airlifted to St. Cloud CentraCare Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies determined excessive speed to be the cause of the crash, according to the news release.

Eden Valley Police, Eden Valley Fire and Rescue, Watkins Ambulance and Lifelink 3 also responded to the incident, reported at 7:31 p.m. Wednesday.
