ATWATER — A teenager was injured Wednesday evening following a single-vehicle rollover, according to a news release from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
According to the release, a 17-year-old male was driving a 2015 Can-Am side-by-side utility vehicle northbound in the 17000 block of Sperry Lake Road in Harrison Township when he lost control, causing it to roll on its side. He suffered a broken leg.
A 16-year-old female passenger was not injured.
The names of the teenagers have not been released by the Sheriff's Office.
The injured male was transported to Carris Health — Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar by Atwater Ambulance.
The crash is under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
The Atwater Police Department and the Spicer First Responders also responded to the incident reported at 5:16 p.m. Wednesday.
