WILLMAR — A two-vehicle crash at 1:50 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Kandiyohi County Roads 5 and 27 Northwest in Dovre Township injured four people.
Kandiyohi County sheriff’s deputies responding to the accident located the injured parties at the scene. They were transported to Carris Health — Rice Memorial Hospital for treatment, according to a news release from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office. The injuries were non-life-threatening.
According to the release, a 2015 Ford F150 driven by James Fletcher, 74, of Lakeland, Florida, was proceeding on County Road 27 and failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a 2015 Ford Explorer driven by Kristine Tjarks, 60, of Alden, Iowa.
Fletcher and a passenger, Joanne Fletcher, 75, also of Lakeland, Florida, and Tjarks, and her passenger, Kayleen Ruhl, 66, of New London, Minnesota, were the injured parties.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Pennock First Responders and Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, the New London Ambulance and CentraCare EMS.
