GROVE CITY – The Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City School District was named a National Blue Ribbon School today by the U.S. Department of Education.

The recognition is for improvements in the K-6 grades for closing the achievement gaps among student subgroups.

ACGC is one of eight schools in Minnesota, and one of 337 schools nationwide, to receive the award this year.

β€œIt’s amazing recognition, not only for the students, but also for the staff that works with them,” said K-6 Principal Kodi Goracke.

District officials will travel to Washington, D.C. in November to receive the award.
