Willmar native Alison Adamson and the Augustana women's basketball team did something no other squad has done to North Dakota this season -- take the lead at halftime.
But a 30-29 lead didn't hold as the Fighting Sioux won the North Central Conference title, 69-63 Sunday in Grand Forks, N.D.
Adamson scored 16 points to lead the Vikings. Both teams will participate in the North Central Regional, which starts Friday in Grand Forks.
