Three people were arrested for felony drug charges this morning at a Litchfield residence, according to police.
The arrests resulted from a search warrant at 8:05 a.m. on a residence on West Third Street, according to a press release from the Litchfield Police Department. The police department, along with officers from the CEE-VI Drug Task Force recovered methamphetmaine, along drug paraphernalia and packaging supplies.
This incident was part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. More arrests are expected, the release states.
Four people were arrested yesterday at a different Litchfield residence located on East Second Street. The news release did not indicate whether or not these two incidents are related.
The three people who were arrested this morning face pending felony controlled substance charges and remain in custody at Meeker County Jail. One of the suspects also had outstanding warrants in Pope County and Swift County.
