DASSEL -- Adeline Emma Louise Olson, 82, of Dassel, formerly of rural Atwater, died Wednesday at the Hutchinson Hospital in Hutchinson.

The service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel. Burial will be at Swan Lake Lutheran Cemetery in rural Dassel.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

She was born Sept. 22, 1923, in rural Atwater to Henry and Anna (Becker) Mahn. She grew up in the Atwater area, attended St. John's Lutheran School and received her GED by correspondence. She was a nurse's aide at Meeker County Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.

She married Bernard Olson on Aug. 21, 1964, in rural Atwater. They lived and farmed on the Olson family farm in rural Dassel. She later worked as a nurse's aide at Dassel Lakeside Community Home.

She was a member of the Swan Lake Lutheran Ladies Aid and later the Gethsemane Lutheran Ladies Aid, and taught Sunday school at both churches. She sang in the St. John's Lutheran Church choir when she was younger. She was the Sunday school superintendent at Swan Lake Lutheran Church and volunteered to teach Vacation Bible School for many years.

She is survived by her children: Allan Olson of Dassel, Ann Olson (and Mark Hadash) of Dassel; and one sister: Minnie Hintz of Atwater.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983; and two brothers.
