HANLEY FALLS -- Adeline Henrietta Torke, 88, of Hanley Falls died Sunday at the Granite Falls Hospital.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls. Burial will be at the Yellow Medicine West Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 6 p.m., at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born March 21, 1920, in Marshall to Arthur and Selma (Ellingson) Anderson. She attended Hanley Falls Public Schools and graduated in 1939.
She married Bennett Torke on Sept. 28, 1941. They lived with Bennett's brother and his wife, for the first six months of their marriage. They then bought and moved to a farm site north of Wood Lake. She was a homemaker. They farmed until 1998 and moved to Granite Ridge. In the fall of 2004, she moved to the Granite Falls Manor.

She was a member of the ladies aide and circle at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church. She was also a member of a homemaker's group.
She is survived by her children: Beth (and Melvin) Fischer of Shakopee and Allen (and Barbara) Torke of Wood Lake; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings: Audrey Listul of Granite Falls, Wallace (and Barbara) Anderson of Wood Lake and Douglas Anderson of Cottonwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
