CLARKFIELD -- Adeline R. Broughton, 88, of rural Clarkfield died Saturday at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Normania Township. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, with prayer service at 6 p.m., at the Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.
She was born April 1, 1919, in Nome, N.D., to Olaf and Mabel (Hagen) Johnson. She graduated from Nome High School in 1937.

She married Garfield Broughton on Dec. 23, 1944, in Cottonwood. They farmed together. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Lucas Lutheran Church, WELCA and the Sunshine Birthday Club.
She is survived by her children: Dennis (and Linda) Broughton of Minneota, Gene (and Darlene) Broughton of Humboldt, Iowa; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; a brother: Wilmor (and Luella) Johnson; and sisters: Miranda (and Bernard) Elling, and Audrey (and Gordon) Gilbertson.
She was preceded in death by her husband and four sisters.
