MANKATO -- Agnes E. Archbold, 92, of Mankato, formerly of Litchfield, died Wednesday at Sunrise Cottage in Mankato.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Burial will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by the Mankato Mortuary.
She was born May 8, 1915, near Sheldon, N.D., to Nicolay and Mary (Ylvisker) Arntson. She graduated from Sheldon High School and Valley City State Teachers College in Valley City, N.D. She taught in several towns in North Dakota.
She married Kenneth Archbold on Sept. 3, 1942. They farmed near Sheldon until 1948 when they moved to Litchfield and farmed south of town. She worked in the city clerk's office for 14 years.

She was a member of the Litchfield Business and Professional Club, Litchfield Women's Club, Sons of Norway, the DFL party, and Zion Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her children: Jean (and Warren) Renando of Jackson, Mich., Sandy (and David) Mutch of North Mankato, Jon (and Susan) Archbold of Coon Rapids, Stephen (and Audrey) Archbold of Hernando, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters and one brother.
