WILLMAR -- Agnes M. "Aggie" Mair, 79, of Willmar, formerly of Sunburg and Glenwood, died Monday at Cynthia's Place Private Care Home in Spicer.

The service will be at 11 a.m. today at Crow River Lutheran Church in rural Belgrade. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home in New London.

She was born Dec. 4, 1926, in Belgrade to Adolph and Millie (Anderson) Odland. She attended a small country school in rural Belgrade, and then graduated from Belgrade High School.

She married Alvord Thorson on Oct. 12, 1945. They lived in Sunburg until 1961, when they moved to Glenwood. She moved to Morris in 1972 and worked at the University of Minnesota in Morris. She moved to Willmar in 1975.

She married William Mair on July 3, 1981. Bill died in October.

She was a member of Crow River Lutheran Church and active with the Women of the Lutheran Church of America, and the Joy Circle. She also was a member of the Willmar VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Willmar American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children: Marcia Nordwall of Trout Lake, Wash., Ronald (and Darline) Thorson of Norman, Okla.; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and her siblings: Leonard Odland of Spicer, Kenneth Odland of Willmar, Henry Odland of Spicer, and LuElla Gunderson of New London.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son: Larry Thorson; and son-in-law, Earl Nordwall.
