ST. PAUL - Two proposals have been introduced in the Minnesota Legislature to help relieve what is called an agriculture educator crisis.
Rep. Paul Anderson, R-Starbuck, is chief author for the bills, one of which would establish a grant program to pay ag educators to work with students during the summer.
The second bill would provide money to help repay college loans for new ag educators.
Minnesota agriculture leaders say there are too few ag educators in high schools.
