GRANITE FALLS -- Alan Donald Eischens, 47, of rural Sacred Heart died Monday at his residence.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Granite Falls. A private family burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
He was born Dec. 28, 1958, in St. Paul to Lambert and Theresa (Fieber) Eischens. He graduated from high school in Granite Falls. He served in the Army National Guard.

He married Connie Hoff on April 14, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nev. He worked for the Township Maintaining Association since 1991. He was acting First Assistant Fire Chief for the Sacred Heart Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife; his parents of Granite Falls; and his siblings: Ron (and Lisa) Eischens of Sparta, Mich., Randy (and Jenny) Eischens of Bonner Springs, Kan., Dave (and Carrie) Eischens of Granite Falls, Lori (and Jim) Ruether of Montevideo, Kathy Dodd of Brookings, S.D., and Kari (and Bill) Lang of Basehor, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
