WILLMAR -- Albertus "Bert" Johan Haats, 94, of Willmar died Friday afternoon at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Raymond.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Raymond to Haat and Ipkea (Sapp) Haats. He grew up and received his education in Raymond.

He married Mildred Henslin on Dec. 28, 1935. He worked in construction and farmed near Maynard. In 1972, he retired from farming and moved to Willmar. He worked for Holiday Inn, Super 8 Motel and Chappell Central, and Natvik Supply.
He was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Raymond and Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City, and a current member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar. He was also a member of Lutheran Brotherhood.
He is survived by his wife; a son: Stanley (and Kathy) Haats of Maynard; four daughters: LaVonne (and Charles) Carr of Rogers, Deanne (and Ronald) Beito of Buffalo, Bonita (and Steven) Andresen of Clara City and LeNae (and LaVern) Teichert of Montevideo; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Johanna Klaassen of Willmar.
He was preceded in death by two brother sand four sisters a grandson and a great-grandson.
