WILLMAR -- The Willmar Area Learning Center was evacuated Tuesday morning and a child is in custody after a bomb threat was found on a piece of paper.
The threat comes a week to the day since the Willmar Junior High was evacuated after a bomb threat was found in the boy's bathroom. According to a news release from the Willmar Police Department, police were notified of Tuesday's threat at 10:50 a.m. The school was evacuated and the threat was investigated, but no signs of a bomb were found.
According to the release, a 14-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the threat. He is facing charges of terroristic threats and is being held at Prairie Lakes Detention Center. The 13-year-old boy who confessed to the bomb threat at the junior high Oct. 31 is also facing charges of terroristic threats.
