ALEXANDRIA - Alexandria shot a 296 to capture first place in the Central Lakes Conference meet Monday at the Alexandria Country Club.
Willmar took eighth in the CLC event after shooting a 354. Derek Hilding led Willmar shooting an 85. Sam Warzecha shot an 86.
Alexandria, which beat runner-up Brainerd by 25 strokes, took the first four individual spots led by Bryce Hanstad at 72.
"We're still looking for some scores in the 70s," said Willmar coach Dave Ellwood. "We should shoot better on Thursday when we host the next Central Lakes event."

Nathan Nelson of Litchfield was part of a five-way tie for fourth place at 76.
The Dragons finished 12th as a team, while Willmar was 16th. Alexandria won by 17 strokes.
