RENVILLE -- Alice Ione Johnson, 80, of Renville died Sunday at the RenVilla Care Center in Renville.
The service will be at 2 p.m. today at Augustana Lutheran Church in Clarkfield. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Boyd.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by the Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield.
She was born April 25, 1928, south of Clarkfield to Dithloff and Amanda (Selness) Varpness.
She married LeRoy A. Johnson on Feb. 9, 1947. They farmed west of Clarkfield. She was a homemaker. They moved to Montevideo in the late 1990s.

She was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school and was in the ladies aid.
She is survived by her husband of the RenVilla Care Center; children: Carol Roozen of Rogers, Diane (and Dale) Nelson of Northfield, Judy (and Peter) Stuber of Brownsville, and Elaine (and Lynn) Erickson of Montevideo; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Jimmy (and Rosann) Varpness of Marshall.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a son-in-law: Bill Roozen.
