WOOD LAKE -- Alice L. Nelson, 87, of Wood Lake died Wednesday at the Granite Falls Hospital after a short illness.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls. Burial will be at Yellow Medicine East Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitati on will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Sunset Funeral Home in Echo and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
She was born Dec. 10, 1918, to Otto and Ida (Bushian) Schulz. She married Anton Nelson in 1941. She owned Country Point Needle Shop in Wood Lake and taught needlepoint and quilting.

She is survived by her children: Eunice (and Stephen) Sandell, Mary Taylor (and Bob St. Aubin); three grandchildren; and one sister: Violet Slettedahl.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
