DANUBE -- Alice Marion Lankenau, 84, of Danube died Friday at the Olivia Health Care Center.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Danube. Burial will be in St. Matthew's North Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Renville and for one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
She was born Oct. 6, 1921, in Winfield Township, Renville County, to Henry and Anna (Strey) Seehusen.

On Feb. 18, 1940, she married August Lankenau in Winfield Township. They lived in Renville and Bird Island before moving to Danube in 1945. They provided foster care for Renville County Family Services for several years. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and was active with the Ladies Aide.
Survivors include her children, Wayne (and LaVaun) of Danube and Marlene (and Robert) Hill of Buchanan Dam, Texas; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Adeline Hoffmann of St. James and Viola Revier of Olivia.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, one sister and one brother.
