BIRD ISLAND -- Alice P. Meier, 90, of River Falls, Wis., formerly of Bird Island, died Saturday at the River Falls Area Hospital.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls. Burial will be at noon Saturday at Bird Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be for a half hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral Home in River Falls. Memorials are preferred.
She was born April 29, 1915, in Bird Island to Hans and Lillian Lund. She grew up in Bird Island.

She married Everett Salter on Oct. 8, 1936. They ran the Coffee Cup Café in Bird Island from 1945 to 1955. Everett died in 1955. She ran the café until 1962, and then moved to St. Paul.
She married Ben Meier on Sept. 14, 1965. They lived in St. Paul and she worked at Mac's Dinette in North St. Paul until 1980. Ben died in 1989. She moved to River Falls, Wis.
She was a member of Ezekiel Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her son-in-law: Milan Wehking of River Falls, Wis.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother: Eddie (and Shirley) Lund.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; daughter: Lily in 2001; three brothers and two sisters.
