MONTEVIDEO -- Ardis Mildred Borg, 85, formerly of Montevideo, died Wednesday at the Maplewood Care Center in Maplewood.
The interment service will be at 10 a.m. today at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.
Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
She was born Sept. 1, 1921, in Montevideo to Harold and Mabel (Bourne) Ost. She attended rural schools and graduated from Montevideo High School. She attended two years of teacher's training at St. Cloud State College. She later obtained her bachelor's degree from Moorhead State College. She taught at rural schools in the Montevideo area and later did substitute teaching in both Minnesota and Iowa.

She married Johnnie Borg on Feb. 13, 1949, in Montevideo. They lived in Sioux Falls, S.D, in Igloo, S.D., for nine years. They returned to Montevideo in 1964. Johnnie died in 1967. She moved to Colorado, Iowa, and returned to Minnesota in 1979. She moved to Maplewood Health Care Center nine years ago.
She is survived by two daughters: Wanda Borg of St. Paul, Donna (and David) Walla of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Lois Saue of Spokane, Wash., and Marlis Kvanli of Willmar.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
