WILLMAR – Many schools in west central Minnesota are sending students home early today as yet another winter storm blasts the area.

Among the long list of schools that are closing are Willmar, New London-Spicer, Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City and Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg.

The region is expected to get 6-7 inches of snow over the next 24 hours and north winds of 25-30 mph is expected to whip up the snow and reduce visibility.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is reporting that roads in the Willmar area are in fair or difficult driving condition.
