Here's a look at some of the numbers being generated from this year's section football playoffs, which begin tonight:
10: Of 20 teams in the West Central Tribune area, the number of teams with a first-round home game and the number teams opening on the road.
2: Only Litchfield in Section 6AAA and Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in Section 5A are ranked No. 1 in their sections.
1: The number of games pitting two area teams head-to-head. In Section 6AA No. 2 Morris hosts No. 6 Benson in a rematch of their West Central South clash on Sept. 22, won by Morris, 32-12.
5: The number of rematches of regular season games. New London-Spicer, No. 2 in Section 6AAA meets West Central North Conference foe Melrose. The Wildcats throttled the Dutchmen 36-0 on Sept. 22. KMS pounded Upsala/Swanville Area 64-20 on Sept 29; the two face off again tonight. Renville County West, the seventh-seed in Section 5A, was blanked by No. 2 Wabasso 46-0 on Oct. 13. In Nine-Man action, Section 3's No. 7 team, Hancock, suffered a 34-0 loss to No. 2 Ashby on Sept. 30.

3: The number of consecutive section titles No. 2 Yellow Medicine East would win if it captures the 6AA crown. West Central Area is the top seed.
