Armed robbers hit the west side Casey’s

WILLMAR -- The Willmar Police Department seeks the public's help in investigating an armed robbery reported early Tuesday morning at a Willmar convenience store.

WILLMAR - The Willmar Police Department seeks the public’s help in investigating an armed robbery reported early Tuesday morning at a Willmar convenience store.
Officers were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday on a report of an armed robbery to Casey’s General Store at 1021 19th Ave. S.W. in Willmar, Police Chief Jim Felt said. A store clerk had reportedly dialed 911 after the alleged robber fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
The store clerk reportedly told law enforcement that the suspect displayed a handgun, demanded cash, took an undetermined amount of money and fled east on foot.
Law enforcement has not identified the suspect and is reviewing security footage from the store. The suspect reportedly had his face covered and was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and sunglasses. Felt said the suspect is likely a male with a dark complexion who is roughly 5 feet, 7 inches tall. Those with information are urged to call 320-235-2244 or email police@willmarmn.gov .
