MONTEVIDEO -- Armin Julius Adolph Denbrook, 92, of Brookings, S.D., formerly of Montevideo, died Saturday at Brookview Manor in Brookings.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Burial will be at Terrace Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
He was born Feb. 14, 1914, in French, Minn., to Fred and Martha (Schmidt) Denbrook. He attended school in Fon du Loc, Wis., Ottertail County, and Fergus Falls.

He married Grace Highdale on May 3, 1942, in Ottertail County. He worked as a traveling manager for Red Owl in western Minnesota, from Fargo to Pipestone, drove a bread truck for Holsum Bread Company for 30 years, and later worked for the City of Montevideo and the Montevideo Municipal Off Sale for 11 years. He retired in 1979.
He was a member of the Monte Merry Squares, Wheels Club, Our Savior's Church Choir for 25 years, Monte Barbershop Quartet, Monte Male Chorus, was treasurer for Montevideo Spartan Baseball Club for 20 years, was a Mason, Shriner, Royal Arch and Grand Encampment of Knights Templar, and was active with the Montevideo Senior Citizens Center. He was also a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and served as a deacon for many years.
He is survived by his children: Carol Buesgens of Chanhassen, Garnet Denbrook of Brookings, S.D., Kay (and John) LaRocque of Wabasha, Roger (and Laurie) Denbrook of Waconia, Jill Denbrook of St. Louis Park, Norma Denbrook of Madison, Wis., Nancy Denbrook of Lawrenceville, Ga.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister: Sylvia Newton of Fergus Falls.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1994; son-in-law: Larry Buesgens; two sisters and two brothers.
