BROOTEN -- Arnold Goodwin Levorson, 99, of Brooten, died Saturday at the Belgrade Nursing Home.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Big Grove Lutheran Church in rural Brooten.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade.

He was born on July 21, 1907 in North Fork Township to Gustav and Andrine (Baalson) Levorson. He grew up on the family farm and attended country grade school. After his schooling, he worked on the family dairy farm until moving to Washington to work in the shipyards and for a short time in Montana on a ranch.

He returned to the family farm and began raising cattle. He retired in 1974 and moved to Brooten in 1978. He moved to the Belgrade Nursing Home in 1995.

He was a life long member of the Big Grove Lutheran Church.
