FRANKLIN -- Arnold Ole Olson, 90, of Franklin died Saturday at the Redwood Area Hospital in Redwood Falls.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Oct. 23, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Franklin. A private family burial will be in Fort Ridgley and Dale Cemtery in rural Franklin.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.

He was born Feb. 17, 1916, in Franklin to George and Palma (Hoimyr) Olson. He attended country school. He served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer. He was honorably discharged and returned to Franklin.

He married Adora Pederson on Jan. 12, 1946, in Minneapolis. They farmed in the Franklin area and retired in 1974. They moved into Franklin. They were custodians at St. Luke's Lutheran Church for several years.

He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, the Franklin American Legion and the Lions.

He is survived by his wife; children: Marilyn (and Lee) Gibson of Springfield, Ill., David (and Sherri) Olson of Morris, Ill., Pamela (and Bob) Valentin of Franklin, Doug (and Jean) Olson of Montevideo, Wayne Olson of Franklin; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Evelyn Lee of Franklin and Ruth (and Dick) Neunsinger of St. Cloud.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers, one in infancy.
