APPLE VALLEY -- Arnold R. Johnson, 83, of Apple Valley died Sunday at the University of Minnesota Hospital.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary in Apple Valley. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Clarksfield City Cemetery in Clarksfield.
Visitation will be held privately.
He was born in Woodbury County, Sioux City, Iowa. He grew up in the Granite Falls area and attended Granite Falls High School.
He married Phyllis. He managed the Granite Falls Co-op Elevator for 29 years. He later moved to Burnsville and was employed by Harvest States Co-op. He retired and worked for Avis Car Rental, where he drove cars around the Twin Cities area.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters: Jane Johnson, Judy Johnson, and Janell (and Jeff) Voigt; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings: Donald (and Irene) Johnson, Zelma (and Ewald) Wanagas, Vivien (and Dave) Wiitamak and Jackie (and Oliver) MacKenzie.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Joliene.
