ATWATER -- Arvin Deo Johnson, 84, of Atwater died in October.
The service took place in October.
He was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Hector, to George and Henrietta Johnson. He grew up on a farm. He served in the Army toward the end of World War II. After the service he moved with his brothers to Long Beach, Calif.
He married Luella Sims on Sept. 3, 1948. They lived in Atwater. He was employed by Procter and Gamble for 37 years.
He is survived by his wife; four children: Cindy, Barbara, Richard and Scott.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers: Vernon, Marvin, Burton; sisters: Evelyn Anderstrom, Henrietta Larson, Rosetta Strand and Byrma (and Irwin) Tallakson.
