Atwater man hurt in foggy crash southwest of Litchfield, Minn.

LITCHFIELD -- A 50-year-old Atwater man was taken by Gold Cross Ambulance to Meeker Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash attributed to foggy conditions this morning southwest of Litchfield.

According to the Meeker County Sheriff's Office, Allan Whitcomb was driving a 1998 Dodge Neon around 6:40 a.m. eastbound on County Road 23 when the vehicle skidded through the intersection with County Road 1. The vehicle left the roadway and skidded into a field.

There were no passengers in the vehicle. Also responding were the Litchfield fire and rescue crews.
