LITCHFIELD -- Barbara Jane Johnson, 85, of Litchfield died Saturday in Minnetonka.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Litchfield United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are with Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Memorials are preferred to the church or donor's choice.
She was born April 11, 1921, in St. Paul to Philip and Elizabeth (Lambert) Reynolds. She was a figure skater when she was young and was ranked seventh in the nation in her division. She graduated from St. Paul Central High School and attended Hamline University. She was selected for flight training, received her pilot's license, and was invited to join the military as a non-combat pilot.

She married Abe Johnson on April 6, 1943. They spent the early war years in Memphis, Tenn., and returned to Litchfield at the end of the war. They joined the Johnson family construction business. After Abe's retirement, they lived in McAllen and Harlingen, Texas, and summered at Lake Minne Belle.
She is survived by her children: Suzanne of Eden Prairie, Philip (and Vicki) of Victoria, Steve (and Katy) of Edina, Claudia of Minneapolis; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister: Jo Hazen of Walnut Creek, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
