New London native Aaron Barber recorded an even-par 71 for the first round of the Nationwide Tour's Northeast Pennsylvania Classic Thursday.
Barber finished his first nine holes at two-under, but posted a double bogey and bogey on consecutive holes in his last nine. He finished with a birdie on No. 9.
Johnson Wagner leads the field with a seven-under 64.
