New London native Aaron Barber shot an even-par 70 to sit in the middle of the field after the first day of the Nationwide Tour's Xerox Classic at Irondequoit Country Club in Rochester, N.Y., Thursday.
Barber finished the back nine one-over par, then ended the day with a birdie on No. 9.
