BIRD ISLAND -- Lac qui Parle Valley took a 4-1 lead over BOLD after three innings, then held on for a 5-3 win in West Central South Conference baseball win Thursday.
The Eagles (4-0, 6-1) stay undefeated in league play.
Adam Paulson went 3-for-4 with a double to pace LQPV. Andy Schmidt and Matt Engen drove in two runs each.
Eddie Massee gave up three runs in six innings for the win. He struck out five and walked two.
Jason Grund went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI for the Warriors (1-2, 2-3). Stephen Engelman and Pat Otteson also had two hits apiece.

ACGC scored five runs in the third inning to take a 6-0 lead, which was enough for starting pitcher Mike Martin. He allowed four runs on nine hits, while striking out five and walking none for the complete-game win.
Justin Schroeder and Alex Schmeling had two hits each for the Falcons (1-2, 4-2).
