ST. PAUL - After opening the Class A State Tournament Thursday with a sweep over Martin County West, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa was outlasted in a five-game marathon in the semifinals by Windom Area Friday 25-20, 23-25, 25-14, 16-25, 15-7.
Heidi Lensing had 21 kills in 54 attacks, Emily Roelike followed with 16 kills and Julie Hieserich piled up 35 set assists for BBE (31-2).
The Jaguars will meet Ada-Borup in the third-place match today at 11 a.m. back at Xcel Energy Center.
