Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa is ranked No. 3 in the preseason Class A volleyball poll, released Monday by the state coaches association.
The Jaguars, who lost both matches in last year's state tournament, received one first-place vote and 64 points overall. Bethlehem Academy, the defending Class A champs, was the top-ranked team, followed by runner-up Windom Area. Buffalo Lake-Hector and Renville County West received votes.
BBE opens the season at Sauk Centre on Aug. 28.
Chaska heads the Class AAA poll and Jordan is the No. 1 team in Class AA.
