PAYNESVILLE -- Sometimes in the post-season a red-hot team can hits a snag and with one quick hook, find themselves watching the rest of the tournament.
Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa wasn't about to let that happen. The Jaguars played a solid match and upended Sauk Centre 25-17, 16-25, 25-18, 25-17.
While the Jaguars are loaded with outstanding attackers who often grab the headlines, back row players often get overlooked even though the hitters can't do their jobs without them.
But sophomore libero Emily Roelike's performance didn't go unnoticed.
"Every starts with the pass and Emily played so well," said BBE coach Mimi Knutson. "She put everything into sync for us tonight. She was solid the whole match."

And the hitters utilized the good passing and the setting of Sarah Gruber (30 assists) and Jenny Hieserich (nine assists). April Hansen unleached 16 kills and Ashley Lensing and Heidi Lensing had 12 kills apiece for BBE (28-3), which has won 13 straight matches. Katie Gruber added eight kills.
BBE will now face Montevideo at 7 p.m. Saturday at UM-Morris.
The Jaguars, who also beat Sauk Centre last year for the sub-section crown, are the defending section champions.
Shanna Schmiesing delivered 16 kills for the Mainstreeters (27-5).
