Belgrade man injured in Stearns County crash

Icy roads and alcohol were involved in a crash Wednesday that injured a Belgrade man.

BELGRADE — A Belgrade man was injured in a one-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Stearns County.

According to the State Patrol, Rick Eugene Anderson, 58, was driving a 1984 Chevy truck west on state Highway 55, between Belgrade and Regal, when the vehicle hit glare ice and rolled off the road and into the ditch.

Anderson was taken to the Paynesville hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. According to the report, seat belts were worn and alcohol was involved in the accident, which was reported at 7:15 p.m.

The Glacial Ridge Ambulance assisted at the scene.
