MONTEVIDEO -- Benjamin William Schneider, 91, of Montevideo died Friday at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hope Reformed Church in Montevideo. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

He was born Dec. 20, 1913, in Holland, Neb., to John and Grace (Helmink) Schneider.
He married Gertie Van Den Bosch on Jan. 6, 1937, in Boyden, Iowa.
He was a member of Hope Reformed Church and devoted his time to the Consistory, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Male Quartet.
He is survived by his daughters: Mary (and Howard) Van Binsbergen of Owatonna, Joan (and Ken) Van Putten of Castle Rock, Colo., Beth (and Arlin) Sneller of Hazel Run, Ruth (and Rick) Anschuetz of Ft. Atkinson, Wis., and Judy (and Mike) Degernes of Blue Bell, Pa.; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother: Harold (and Wilma) of Rock Valley, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, one sister and a great-granddaughter.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.
