BENSON -- A 63-year old Benson man was killed Saturday afternoon in a farm accident involving a grain bin.
According to Swift County Sheriff Scott Mattison, firefighters cut open a half-full bin of shelled corn and recovered the unresponsive body of Ronald Olson. He was transported to the Swift County-Benson Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2 p.m.
The sheriff's office received a 911 call for help shortly before 1 p.m. to Section 25 of Swenoda Township. The Benson Fire Department, Benson Ambulance, Danvers Fire Department and a sheriff's deputy responded to the accident.
