PAYNESVILLE -- A Benson woman was injured Thursday night as a passenger in a two-vehicle crash in Paynesville.

The State Patrol says Changdi Ao had been traveling in a 1998 Honda Acura driven by Jianhua Li, 51, also of Benson.

Shortly before 8:20 p.m., while traveling west on Highway 23 near milepost 178, Li's vehicle rear-ended a 2010 Toyota Highlander, driven by 16-year-old Eli Kilpatrick of Spicer, according to the Patrol.

Ao was transported to Paynesville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Li and Kilpatrick were not injured. All had been wearing seatbelts, and alcohol was not a factor, the Patrol said.

The Acura was severely damaged.
