Beth L. Ellenby

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Beth Laurel Ellenby, 44, of Tempe, Ariz., died Saturday at Banner Desert Hospital in Phoenix after a seven-month battle with cancer.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are by Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home of Litchfield. Memorials are preferred to heifer.org.

She was born July 22, 1963, in Litchfield to Jerome and Joan Reckdahl. She graduated from Grove City High School, received a bachelor's degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter and earned a master's degree at the American School of International Management in Phoenix. She ran the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Toronto and then worked for IBM in Dallas, Tokyo and Singapore.
On Jan. 1, 2000, she married Michael Ellenby in New Zealand.
She was a volunteer in church and community activities and as a parent-helper at her daughter's elementary school.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter: Jayde of Tempe; her parents of Grove City; siblings: Keith Reckdahl (and Becky Epstein) of Palo Alto, Calif., Katy Reckdahl of New Orleans, Ben Bryant of Hollywood, Fla., and Andrea (and Jim) Sweeney of Chanhassen.
