WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- Beth Marie Quanbeck, 53, of West Des Moines, Iowa, formerly of the Adrian, New London and Spicer areas, died Monday.
The service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Faith Lutheran Church of rural Monticello.
Arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello. Memorials are preferred.
She was born Feb. 2, 1954, in Adrian to B. R. and Helen Quanbeck. She graduated from Augsburg College with a bachelor of arts degree, and a master of arts from St. Cloud State University.

She was a research librarian at Northern State University in Aberdeen, S.D. She was the director of Library Development for South Dakota State Library. Then she was employed by the Central Iowa Library Service as an assistant administrator. She was a library consultant at the Iowa State Library at the time of her death.
She is survived by her parents; sisters: Sonja Quanbeck and Louise (and James) Tetlie; and a brother: Tien Van Bui.
