The first few days of life for Blaze, Cassian and Jyn were a challenge that these three kittens conquered. At about the age of 2 days, they were separated from their mom and came to the shelter cold to the touch. After reuniting with mom, getting warmed up and feeding, they have continued to thrive.
With much pride in these tough kittens, the shelter staff was able to witness the first time they used the litter box, ate soft food, and then ate hard food. Blaze, Cassian and Jyn are social and confident kittens, thanks to the foster care family that took care of them for a few weeks and the amazing volunteers at the shelter.
The next step is to find them a caring permanent home. Stop in and meet this little trio, along with many other adoptable pets, at the Hawk Creek Animal Shelter, 250 28th St. S.W., Willmar. Shelter hours are noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
