GROVE CITY -- Law enforcement officers took Devin Delbert Donald Blom, 21, of St. Cloud and formerly of Cosmos, into custody around 2 p.m. today at the same rural Grove City home where a search warrant was executed Tuesday afternoon.

Blom, who is wanted on drug charges in Meeker County and burglary charges in Kandiyohi County, is being held in the Meeker County Jail.

According to a news release from Meeker County Sheriff Mike Hirman, officers attempted to arrest Blom by stopping his vehicle around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday. He fled, exited the vehicle and ran into a cornfield. Officers, including those in a State Patrol helicopter, were unsuccessful in their search Tuesday evening.

A resident notified law enforcement this morning that he had seen a man matching Blom's description walking north on County Road 25. Officers responded and again saw the man disappear into a cornfield. The patrol helicopter was used again in the search.

Another citizen report led officers to the home of Gary and Fred Weseman, 28132 County Road 25, where Blom was taken into custody. A search warrant was executed on the Weseman home on Tuesday afternoon. Officers found controlled substances, drug paraphernalia and other contraband. Officers also located items involved in the Kandiyohi County burglary.
