GLENWOOD -- Bonnie Rose Elwood, 63, of Glenwood died Saturday at her home after a battle with cancer.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Church of the Sacred Heart in Glenwood. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Glenwood.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood, with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

She was born March 2, 1943, in Glenwood to Emmanuel and Rose (Chan) Smisek. She grew up and attended school in Lowry. She was a graduate of Glenwood High School and the Minnesota School of Business.

She married Jerome Elwood in 1965. They lived in Glenwood. She worked as a teller at the Lowry State Bank for 37 years and retired in 2003.

She is survived by her husband; children, Mark (and Sandy) Elwood of Glenwood, Todd Elwood of Starbuck, Tami (and Randy) Pfannenstein of St. Cloud, Steve Elwood of Glenwood; five grandchildren; and one sister: Lois (and Merle) Feigum of Brook Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
