Boys Basketball: BBE scuttles Kimball

BELGRADE -- Matt McCleary netted 20 points and Darren Braegelman posted a double-double Friday to lead Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa to a 62-48 win over Central Minnesota Conference rival Kimball.

The Jaguars shot only 35 percent (22-for-63) from the field, but they owned a 37-22 advantage in rebounds. Braegelman grabbed 12 boards to go along with his 11 points for BBE.

Andy Hadley scored 12 points, Jordan Weller handed out six assists and Michael Rodgers pocketed four steals for BBE.

Devin Dingmann had a game-high 21 points for Kimball, but the Cubs shot only 38 percent from the field (19-for-50).

Morris canned seven 3-pointers -- three from Taylor Witt -- and just under 50 percent from the field. Witt and Justin Lund both had 12 points to pace a balanced attack for the Tigers (6-5, 10-10).

Tyler Wiegman nearly amassed a double-double for Morris with 11 points and nine rebounds. Chase Rambow handed out six assists.

Bret Neubauer had 11 points and eight rebounds and Jake Brustuen pumped in a game-high 12 points to ignite BOLD (1-11, 3-19).
