RENVILLE -- Benson posted 51 points by intermission and held a 24-point lead en route to an 80-45 non-conference win over Renville Coun ty West Friday night. Daniel Fragodt led the 2005 section champions with 26 points followed by 6-7 senior center Jesse Holm with 17 points and three blocked shots.
Brett Collins added 10 points and Aaron Lindahl nine as 12 scored for the Braves (2-0), who shot at a 57 percent clip.
For Renville County West (0-3), the leaders were Brent Jansen with eight points and seven rebounds, Tyler Kleinhizen with seven points and Phil Erickson and Junior Ramirez six each.

The Falcons (3-1) went on a 14-2 run to start the second half to tie the game after trailing 31-19 at halftime. Kimball (0-2) then scored the game's next eight points, but again ACGC battled back and regained the lead with about four minutes remaining.
Kyle Johnson sealed the win for the Falcons by going 4-for-4 at the free throw line in the final minute. Matt Stradtmann piled up 18 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three blocks to pace Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City.
