RENVILLE -- With a 9-0 run to end the first half, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg jumped ahead of Renville County West and cruised through the second half for a 71-52 Camden North boys basketball win Friday.
The Fighting Saints (1-1, 4-2) broke a 23-23 tie, finishing the half with a 32-23 lead.
Cole Berget led KMS with 22 points, followed by Taylor Freetly's 13 and Nate Schlagel's 11. Sam Kavanagh grabbed 12 rebounds.
Brent Jansen posted a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Jaguars (0-2, 0-4). Nate Johannson added 11 points and 10 rebounds and Anthony Holwerda also pulled down 10 boards.
