RENVILLE -- Tyler Hebrink's steal and bucket broke a 58-58 tie with 40 seconds left and headed BOLD toward a 62-59 win over Renville County West on Monday in non-conference boys basketball.
It was the first win for the Warriors, who trailed 33-30 at halftime and throughout most of the late going. Trent Neisen made two free throws in the closing seconds to seal the win.
Shawn Dollerschell netted 20 points and hooked seven rebounds to ignite the BOLD (1-3) attack, which also saw Ross Nelson score 13 points and Hebrink and Dylan Gass 10 more each.
RCW point guard Junior Ramirez hit the first of his three 3-pointers to ignite an 8-0 Jaguars' start. Dan Knapper and Mike Fischer had 16 points apiece and Ramirez followed with 11 to pace RCW (2-4).
